The downside of this procedure is that you will have to trigger the Merge

option to remove duplicates manually.

But, an option from the Sidebar of Blender allows you to enable an Auto

Merge option that automatically removes duplicates. Open the Sidebar

with the N key and go to the Tools tab (Figure 3.27).
